Offering your wedding guests a token of your appreciation for their attendance at your special event is a tradition that every couple should observe. Giving a token to every guest can, at first glance, seem like a real budget-buster, especially if your wedding guest list is a mile long. Happily, options for inexpensive do-it-yourself tokens are everywhere, and by adding a personalized touch, your offering rises from mere placeholder to a sincere token of appreciation.
Candy is a sweet way to honor your guests, and Jordan Almonds are a traditional wedding sweet that comes in a wide variety of colors, meaning you may just be able to color coordinate your candy with your wedding theme! The tradition of presenting candy-coated almonds to wedding guests is a long one. Some cultures believe that the slightly bittersweet treat symbolizes the bittersweet nature of life. In Italian weddings, an offering of five almonds represents five wishes for the bride and groom: happiness, fertility, health, wealth, and long life. If you want to be really traditional, offer them in odd numbers: because they cannot be divided, odd numbers of almonds are said to represent the indivisibility between a husband and wife.
Instead of simply tying almonds in a tulle sachet, consider offering them in a personalized paper gift box. Exclusive Favor Box Kits provide all you'll need to simply craft your own easy-to-assemble presentation boxes, including attachable favor tags that can be personalized with the couple's names and the wedding date. Offered in a wide variety of colors with a wide range of tag styles, these boxes match or complement any wedding theme. Boxes also come with matching grosgrain ribbons for a truly professional presentation.
The Exclusive Dotted Cone Favor Kit is another twist on the favor box, offered in a unique and playful cone shape and featuring customizable gift tags.
For a really unusual presentation, and one that's eco-wise, as well, choose the Blooming Heart Favor Box. These boxes feature a special paper embedded with wildflower seeds. Once the gift is given, the recipient can unfold the box and plant it in the garden or in a pot for a season of beautiful wildflowers. Each box also offers a heart shaped closure tab and a personalized gift card to uniquely commemorate your wedding. The Blooming Mini Bag Favors also feature the seed-embedded paper, this time in a tote-bag style.
An option for beachside ceremonies is the one-of-a-kind Palm tree Favor Box with Multi-dimensional Detail by Kate Aspen. These tiny tree-shaped favor boxes are sure to be remembered long after the candy is gone.
If you dream of a princess wedding, treat your guests and maintain your theme with Enchanted Carriage Favor Boxes by Kate Aspen. Offering silver and pink accents, the favor boxes lend themselves to any romantic-themed wedding.
Other uniquely designed favor boxes by Kate Aspen include the Double Happiness Asian-Themed Favor Box with Metallic Gold Symbol and Bow, and the unusual aOutstanding Couplea Bride and Groom 3-D Popup Favor Box.
Of course, almonds are not the only sweet that you can put in your gift boxes. Chocolate Hershey's Kisses Wedding Favors are a fun, romantic treat, especially when they are personalized with the names of the bride and groom. Or choose Hershey's Miniatures Chocolate Wedding Favors, offering labels personalized with your names and wedding date.
If you are looking for a sugar-free favor, the Scented Frosted Glass Votive, featuring a traditional calla lily design, is an ideal choice. Offered in a clear acrylic box with silver accent ribbon, you can also personalize this gift with a matching name tag.
Seashore- or beach-themed ceremonies might prefer the Blooming Shell Mini Pot. Wildflower seed-embedded paper masquerades cleverly as a seashell, fastened to a flowerpot which can be used afterward for planting. Personalize them with included gift tags and select a color-coordinated raffia tie to match your wedding colors.
If your favor does not include a personalized tag, you can add a touch of individuality to your favors with Personalized Ribbon, offered in a wide range of widths and styles, including picot edge and wire edge, and featuring options like organza and satin. Combine personalized ribbon with a fun Miniature Metal Watering Can for a garden theme, or Miniature Silver Metal Pails for a beachside venue.
By taking advantage of the wide number of do-it-yourself favor options, you can honor your guests and save some money at the same time. Adding your names and the date of your ceremony is a special way to show guests your heartfelt thanks, and also reflects the care you took in preparing the token for presentation. Combined, your favor is one that will be remembered long after your ceremony is over.

Describe your dream wedding?
Obviously the most important thing is the person you are marrying but aside from that what would you love? I would love an outdoor backyard wedding with a ceremony centered on compassion, probs write some of our own vows. We would recess to the song “Hawaiian Wedding Song” by Elvis Presley. I’d wear an off the shoulder gown, he’d wear a bow tie. It would be at night, I would have a yellow cake. There would be christmas lights, i guess is what you would call them, everywhere and lanterns. Everyone would write us a little note. We’d have a nice slow dance for our first song to a really cool simple love song. Everyone we loved would be there and we would have fun and dance all night. And then we’d go on our honey moon to Africa!
Maybe white and red heart theme maybe yellow, maybe purple flowers maybe white flowers, probably hair half up half down, lots of DIY and just some fun, a little romance and lots of love

Backyard wedding, maybe 30 guests.
We’d ask one of our friends or a family member to officiate.
It would be in the morning or early afternoon… so people wouldn’t expect alcohol. (we don’t drink)
We wouldn’t hire a photographer or band or DJ. No one would be there unless they were family or a close friend. The only photos we’d have would be the ones our guests took and emailed to us… and we’d be fine with that.
The food and cake would all be home made. For drinks, we’d serve respberry lemonade, coffee, iced tea and sparkling apple cider.
The reception would only go on for about 2 hours. Then, that evening, my husband and I, his and my parents and our siblings (and their spouses) would all go out to a fancy dinner… somewhere really nice. And of course, I’d still be in my wedding dress.

DIY Crazy/Wild/Weird Hair Accessory Ideas?
I need ideas..mainly some that could probably easily be imitated at home. Any would be great though! I want BIG weird Audrey Kitching style bows/headbands/hair accessories. Also I like Lolita, punk, scene, and emo accessories(: and I am a BIG fan of vintage, Victorian, and retro items. So any hair accessories that are wild and edgy please! Thanks! Oh and I wear mini hats and bows already so something slightly like it(: and I love kawaii and food themed items! Plus I already know about cutoutandkeep.com or whatever that site is called haha

is it true that DIY fashion is for poor people?
today my friend saw me trying to make a hair bow and a scarf and other stuff and she was like ” why are you trying to make your own clothes and stuff ” and i was like ” i wanna make some to be creative . ” she says ” diy is for poor people that has to make their own clothes cause they cant afford to buy it that’s why they shop at goodwill to make their clothes .she said it looks tacky and out of fashion and she was like ” do you see any fashion models or celberties making their own clothes ? it just doesnt look good .
I’m only 17 and of course don’t plan to marry soon, but I love dreaming about it
Well, I want it to first of all take place in the summer, in my Eastern Orthodox cathedral, and it will not be a super-large affair, only about 150 or so people – our friends, and our closest family members. I’ll want the reception to be in a relatively expensive restaurant, and the transportation to be in a limousine. My bridesmaids will all wear whatever color dress they want, and I don’t think I’d want a definite color scheme. I want a large and elaborate cake, though, one that’d look too good to eat, vanilla and lemon
My dress will be a long A-line, probably with a train, with lots of lace, and I want my hair in a chignon, with a simple tiara or a fingertip-long veil. I’d love our first dance to be a traditional waltz, and the next songs will be a mix of traditional and modern. I’d want to go all over Europe on my honeymoon, or to Hawaii
Btw, your wedding sounds sooo nice and romantic too
if you want to be creative and try making your own clothes and what not, then go for it. your friend doesn’t seem like a good friend if she comes out and ridicules your actions.
i bought a dress once when it was on sale (didnt like the style of it) so i turned it into a skirt and everyone said “wow! where’d you get that from?”
i usually put all my old clothes to the side and see if i can alter them in any way, especially in the holidays when im bored so goodluck! you might be pretty good at it

If everything goes according to plan (which it looks like it’s going to…) we’ll be getting married where we first met (a Christian summer camp in North Georgia) in an outdoor ceremony toward the end of summer. The priest would be one of our close mutual friends who watched us grow up, meet, work, and fall in love. I’d be wearing a flowy white gown (none of this big shiny stuff for me!) and the flowers would be pale pale pink with dark navy blue ribbons. Our close friends would provide the music on acoustic guitars. Our reception would be in a nearby tent set up and go deep into the night when the fireflies light up the trees around us like Christmas lights.
It wouldn’t really matter where we honeymooned… because we’d be together!

My dream wedding would be a traditonal church ceremony first ( Im Catholic and Irish ). I would choose a beautiful church and decorate it with my theme colours white and pink, white and pink voile sash’s on the rows of seats, lillies, pink roses and pink lillies at the alter and along the window sills. I would have a choir to sing the hymns and a quartet and piano player to do the music. After the Ceremony we would both release doves. It would be at around 1 pm.
I would have four bridesmaids wearing pink and white bridesmaids dresses like these :

My husband would wear black with a pink Lilly in the breast pocket.
After the Ceremony we would have our reception in a Marquee beside the beach. It would be decorated with flowers, hanging flower arrangements and lots of fairy lights for the evening. We would have our first dance to No Air ( me and my fiancé’s song) and afterwards me and my bridesmaids would do a fun routine and then everyone would dance and have fun for the rest of the night. My cake would be a cupcake tier with butterflies and white and pink also. Id have a magician for the kids as well. We would go to Thailand for our honeymoon
First Song: “Just the Way You Are” by Billy Joel
Gown: A traditional shape (with the full, poofy dress) with straps; beaded corset
Afternoon wedding, outdoor ceremony probable in a large and green yard of the reception venue, indoor reception.
Cake: A white 3-tier cake with dark red roses…
Bouquet: roses of course
Really traditional, except not too giant or extravagant, not too many guests. Just really super simple.
ok just take a bunch of bobby pins and just pin like a thousand to your hair.DO NOT make the stick up .just a bunch of pins.make sure they are not the same exact color of your hair.i hope i helped and do not think this idea is stupid cuz you did ask for it.thank you all.:D
