where can i buy plastic centers for hair bows?
i’m 15 and i started making hair bows a month ago. i have ribbons but i think center appliques would be cute for the hair bows. some centers that i want to purchase is a strawberry, a dinosaur, a flower, skull and crossbones…

Have a look at using buttons and glueing them on, you can get some great designs and they are inexpensive.
I can give you a great idea, you can go out and buy Shrinky dink plastic that you draw on and bake in a toaster oven or your home oven, there are tons of clip art to choose from, any craft store, on line sites, look in Microsoft Works or publisher, you will then have custom designs. You could draw/trace ballerina slippers, clowns, happy faces, animals, flower, use colorful pencils, or special markers and make pages while you watch tv or wait to p/up your daughter from an activity. As you build more inventory, I would buy a plastic container w/ 2 x 2 inch sections and start to keep your creations in there so when someone requests a bumble bee or a butterfly or an insect, you can grab it! you can add beads and baubles from any bead or craft store and be sure to get your ribbons on sale. Also, in Michaels and AC Moore, they sell plactic bags filled w/ lot’s of emphemera, I use these beads and charms for my quilted pillows when I want to add a little extra bling-when your ribbons take off and you love what you are doing, if you want to sell them to the public, try etsy.com
